José Paulo Santos
José Paulo Santos was born in Coimbra in 1979 and lives in Matosinhos (Portugal). He has been working in independent cinema since 2013. He directed the films “…além da sala de espera”, which was part of the National Film Plan in 2018, “Circunstâncias”, “Observador”, “13H”, “1965 | Panreal, um edifício de Nadir Afonso” and “Zé Luís, um escultor de vozes”. The films were screened at 289 International Film Festivals and received 280 International Awards.
He is occasionally a jury member at International Film Festivals.
He is currently teaching and coordinating the Multimedia course at Escola Artística da Árvore in Porto and studying for a PhD at the University of Vigo.
Lídia Muñoz
Lídia Muñoz is a Portuguese actress who graduated from the Escola Profissional de Teatro de Cascais and the Lisbon Theatre and Film School (ESTC).
She began her career in 2006 with Gil Vicente’s “Auto da Índia” directed by João Vasco at the Teatro Experimental de Cascais and over the next 17 years she worked with directors such as João Mota, Carlos Avilez, João Lourenço, António Simão, Sérgio Moura Afonso, Marta Dias, Diogo Infante and others.
As an actress, she has been cast in more than 30 productions, including “O Comboio da Madrugada” starring alongside her grandmother, Eunice Muñoz, with whom she also starred in her latest show, “A Margem do Tempo”.
In cinema, she has worked with André Tentugal in “From Where the Birds See the Town”, with Diogo Infante in the film “Olga Drummond” and with Tiago Durão in the films ‘Eunice ou Carta a uma Jovem Actriz’ and “O Misterioso Caso de Lázaro Lafourcade”.
Tiago Durão
Tiago Durão is a Portuguese director, winner of the Sophia Award from the Portuguese Film Academy in 2022 for his documentary short film ‘Eunice Ou Carta a uma Jovem Atriz’, in honour of the 80th anniversary of actress Eunice Muñoz’s career, which was highly endorsed by His Excellency the President of the Republic and the Assembly of the Republic.
He lived in New York between 2016 and 2019, where he produced and directed the feature film, “Tales from the Rabbit Hole – A Curious Kitsch Novel”, which won awards at several international festivals.
He directed the inaugural film of the Beira Interior Film Commission, “My Errors, Cruel Fortune and Ardent Love”, which premiered on RTP2 in 2023.
He directed the film “O Misterioso Caso de Lázaro Lafourcade”, in honour of the 80th anniversary of actor Ruy de Carvalho’s career, which opened in cinemas in 2023.
He is currently in pre-production on a documentary that will be his next film production.
